Ben Affleck bonds with JLo's mom over love of gambling in Las Vegas

  is certainly getting in good with ’s mom.

The 48-year-old actor was seen bonding with Guadalupe Rodriguez, 75, over their shared love of gambling at the slot machines at the Wynn earlier this week.

Affleck is currently directing an undisclosed project in Sin City as JLo’s mom was also seen on set and apparently will make a surprise appearance in it.

A source told on Friday: ‚Lupe was there to film a fun cameo.‘

Guadalupe was very animated as she talked to one of the crew members in between takes.

No doubt she brought a fun energy on set as she also reportedly chatted up other members of the crew and even security staff during filming breaks. 

Ben appeared  to be quite the attentive director as he closely monitored what was going on behind the camera.

It’s unclear what film Ben’s working on as he has a few in the pipeline, including Keeper of the Lost Cities, Witness for the Prosecution and Ghost Army. 

When he was not filming, Ben reportedly did a bit of gambling himself as he was seen playing the tables at the casino at around 3am.

Affleck has also seemingly taken a gamble which has paid off in rekindling his relationship with JLo, 51, as her mother is also pleased about the reunion. 

A source told on Thursday: ‚Guadalupe loves Ben and is happy that he is back in Jennifer’s life.‘

‚They enjoy gambling together and have done it in the past,‘ the insider added. ‚Ben had the opportunity to work in Vegas this week and she came out.‘ 

Guadalupe is quite the gambling enthusiast as she even won a massive $2.4million jackpot in 2004 while her daughter Jennifer was still engaged to Ben.

 During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in January 2015, JLo talked about the big win which happened at The Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

‚This was years ago, this was like 10 years ago,‘ the 45-year old performer said. ‚My mother’s a huge gambler.‘ 

Ben is also very passionate about gambling as in 2014 he admitted in an interview with Details magazine that he was banned from Hard Rock after security deemed him ‚too good‘ at the tables.

‚That is a true story. I mean, that took place,‘ he said when asked to clarify reports he was banned.

 ‚I took some time to learn the game and became a decent blackjack player. And once I became decent, the casinos asked me not to play blackjack. I mean, the fact that being good at the game is against the rules at the casinos should tell you something about casinos.‘

Affleck also starred in 2013 crime thriller Runner Runner alongside Justin Timberlake and Gemma Arterton which was centered around a poor college student who cracks an online poker game which goes bust only to arrange a face-to-face with the man he thinks cheated him.

Lopez recently rekindled her romance with former fiance Affleck, after calling off her engagement to MLB star Alex Rodriguez in April. 

Though she has a large $28M home in Bel Air, California, sources say that Lopez would like to live closer to Affleck’s Pacific Palisades bachelor pad worth $20M.  

Ben has to stay in LA to be close to the three children he has with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, nine. Last week, Lopez was seen looking a couple of schools in Los Angeles for her twins. 

The outlet also reported that Ben and Jennifer are ‚discussing summer plans‘ because they ‚love being together and the weekends away they had been spending together have really sealed the deal.‘
